Dr. Rajiv Agarwal is a Senior Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at the Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre, New Delhi. He graduated from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1985 and completed his MD in Medicine in 1988 and DM in Cardiology in 1991 from the same institution. He formerly held the post of Associate Professor of Cardiology at AIIMS. Dr. Agarwal has a special interest in coronary interventions and valvuloplasty. He has numerous research publications in national and international journals. He is a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship and has been on the faculty of several international conferences. Besides having completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA, in 1993, he has been also been elected Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in October 2011.
